CIRCULATIONS

Circulation is a public service unit that administers and maintains the availability and access to the circulating collection and Reserve materials.

The book collection is arranged by the Library of Congress Classification System.Circulating books are located on the basement, second and third floors of the library.

Materials may be checked out at the Circulation Desk. Patrons cannot check out library materials without a valid or proper I.D. card.

Fines and Overdue Notices

The fine for lost items is $45.00 per item. After a book has been overdue for two weeks you will be sent an overdue notice. If the item is still not returned within two more weeks you will be billed a replacement fee that is charged to your student account (Faculty/Staff must pay all fees before they can sever employment at the university or retire). There is no daily fine. The library does not take money for fees. All payments are made to student accounts.

Fees may be relinquished if the item is returned undamaged within one year of the due date; however, a nonrefundable processing fee of $10.00 per item will remain.

Withdrawal Procedure

Review students’ account on Virtua. If books are billed, the fines will be on their student account record.

Materials may be returned to the Circulation Desk book drop or to the outside book drops located beside the library entrance.
