BIOSIS Previews is a comprehensive index to books, conference proceedings, patents, and technical reports in all areas of the life sciences and biomedical research. Many citations include abstracts. Coverage begins with 1969-forward.
JSTOR contains high-resolution page images of scholarly journals starting with the first issue, many of which began in the 1600s. JSTOR does not include access the most recent issues of current journals. It provides full-text searches of digitized back issues of academic journals. VSU Library acquired access to four of the multidisciplinary JSTOR collections, including the following: Arts and Sciences Collections I, II, III, and IV.

Communication and Mass Media Complete indexes and abstracts over 370 journals and selectively indexes 230 other titles for content related to communication and mass media. Full-text is included from over 200 journals. Searching options include basic and advanced. Other features include a communication thesaurus and author profiles that provide biographical data covering the most prolific, most cited, and most frequently searched for authors in CMMC.

The online version of The Chronicle of Higher Education provides access to the complete contents of the latest issue, daily news and advice columns, current job listings, articles published since September 1989, discussion forums, the AAUP Faculty Survey, and more.
DAAI: Design and Applied Index is an index to journal articles published in craft and design journals since 1973. It is an index that contains references and abstracts (summaries) only, not full text. DAAI covers all areas of design and art with a particular emphasis on the crafts and applied arts, including: ceramics, graphics, fashion, textiles, photography, typography, printmaking, and architecture.
Philosopher's Index is a bibliographic database with informative, author-written abstracts covering scholarly research in all areas of philosophy. The literature covered goes back to 1940 and includes journal articles, books, book chapters such as contributions to an anthology, and book reviews.
