VSU Library announces the following web-based services to its collection of electronic resources.
Literature Resource Center provides online access to a collection of literature resources, including biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of authors from every age and literary discipline. Covers novelists, essayist, poets, journalists, and other writers. Includes links to Dictionary of Literary Biography, Contemporary Authors, Contemporary Literary Criticism, and more.
BioOne includes full-text peer-reviewed bioscience research journals. The sixty-nine high-impact journals in BioOne are published by non-commercial publishers and small societies representing a wide variety of related fields in biology, ecology and environmental science.
Research Insight on the Web provides access to fundamental and market data over the web. Available through an Excel Add-in, Research Insight on the Web combines the power of Microsoft Excel and the Internet to access data on active and inactive companies.
Xreferplus, online reference collection of encyclopedias and dictionaries, contains full-text content to the most recent titles covering arts, astronomy, biology, business, law, literature, music, quotations, science, and Shakespeare. It includes more than 16,000 images from the Bridgeman Art Library.
Black Drama contains the full-text of 1,200 plays written from the mid-1800s to the present by more than 150 playwrights from North America, English-speaking Africa, the Caribbean, and other countries of African Diaspora. Many of the works are rare, hard to find, or out of print. Nearly a quarter of the collection consist of previously unpublished plays by writers such as Langston Hughes, Ed Bullins, Willis Richardson, Amiri Baraka, Randolph Edmonds, Zora Neale Hurston, and many others.
Classical Music Library, the world's first music collection provided through the Internet, offers on-demand listening to more than 10,000 classical music recordings covering the Baroque, Classical, and Romance periods. There are supplementary resources such as composer biographies and program notes on essential works and movements. The Classical Music Library Homepage also features news and the Composer of the Week.
Emerald Full-text Journal Collection covers all major management disciplines from marketing, resources management, library and information management, quality management, operations management, and much more. Flagship titles include Management Decision, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Documentation, Leadership & Organization Development Journal, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Library Management, and The TQM Magazine.

Proquest Education Journals now available at the VSU Library.
This collection covers more than 500 leading journals in the field,
including journals such as Childhood Education, College Teaching,
Harvard Educational Review, Journal of Athletic Training, Educational
Theory, and Urban Education.
VSU Library users can now access test information online from
the Mental Measurements Yearbook series. The Mental Measurements
Yearbook, from Buros Institute, contains descriptive information
and critical reviews from the Buros Institute’s 10th, 11th,
12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th Yearbooks.

The VSU Library now provides access to Nutritiongate.com, an online
database for specialists in the nutritional and food science community.
This online database provides access to information for nutrition
and food research scientists, teachers and students, dieticians,
clinical nutritionists, food industry professionals, and animal
product specialists.
