EndNote Web is a web-based bibliographic citation management tool with the basic features found in EndNote desktop. Users can organize references in folders and create bibliographies in various publishing styles and import references directly into Microsoft Word. The popular “Cite While You Write” technology is available as an optional plug-in for Microsoft Word users to create bibliographies instantly.

Oxford African American Studies Center provides faculty and students with online access to a collection of documents focused on the lives and events of African Americans and African history and culture. Featured are articles from Oxford University reference works, primary source documents with written commentaries, biographies, images, maps, charts and tables, and timelines to guide library users through the history of African Americans. The core content is taken from more than twenty sources published by Oxford University Press, including the following: Africana, 2nd edition, Black Women in America, African American National Biography, Encyclopedia of African American History 1619-1895, and Concise Oxford Companion to African American Literature.

All-Society Periodicals Collection (ASSP) includes a core collection of journals and magazines published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). This online collection includes 120 journals with coverage back to 1998 and contains the most highly cited journals in the field of engineering, including electrical engineering and telecommunications. This new subscription provides essential access to scholarly scientific literature for students and scholars engaged in engineering and computer science research.

Criminology: A SAGE Full-Text Collection is an award-winning discipline specific research database of peer-reviewed journals from SAGE Publications. Launched in early 2003 in cooperation with Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA), the Criminology Collection is one of six discipline-based databases in the SAGE Full-Text Collections, which offer full-text, up-to-date articles. This extensive online collection of journals covers such subjects as Criminal Justice, Juvenile Delinquency, Juvenile Justice, Corrections, Penology, Policing, Forensic Psychology, and Family and Domestic Violence. VSU faculty and students may access the full-text of 23 journals published by SAGE and participating societies.
Education: A SAGE Full-Text Collection is a discipline specific research database of peer-reviewed journals from SAGE Publications. This collection is one of six discipline-based databases in the SAGE Full-Text Collections, which offer full-text, up-to-date articles. This extensive online collection of journals covers such topics in education such as curriculum and theory, research methods, diversity, counseling, budgeting, law, standards, and technology. Coverage includes early childhood through adult and continuing education, including special and gifted education. VSU faculty and students may access the full-text of 33 journals published by SAGE and participating societies.
Management and Organization Studies: A SAGE Full-Text Collection is an award-winning discipline specific research database of peer-reviewed journals from SAGE Publications. This collection is one of six discipline-based databases in the SAGE Full-Text Collections, which offer full-text, up-to-date articles. This extensive online collection of journals covers such subjects as: business and management, organizations studies, strategic management and business policy, human resource management and development, marketing, sociology, public policy and public administration, hospitality, travel and tourism management, labor economics, industrial relations, small business, organizational communication and interpersonal communication. VSU faculty and students may access the full-text of 38 journals published by SAGE and participating societies.

BIOSIS Previews combines journal content from Biological Abstracts with supplemental, non-journal content from Biological Abstracts/RRM (Reports, Reviews, and Meetings). The library subscribes to this online database service through ISI Web of Knowledge platform. BIOSIS Previews provides primary references of original research reports and reviews in biological and biomedical areas. Coverage includes traditional areas of biology such as botany, zoology, and microbiology, as well as related fields such as biomedical, agriculture, pharmacology, and ecology. Also included are interdisciplinary fields such as medicine, biochemistry, biophysics, bioengineering, and biotechnology.
JSTOR, a collaborative archival project to preserve and make accessible important scholarly literature, contains high-resolution page images of scholarly journals starting with the first issue, many of which began in the 1600s. JSTOR does not include access to recent issues of current journals. It provides full-text searches of digitized back issues of academic journals. VSU Library acquired access to four of the multidisciplinary JSTOR collections, including the following:
- Arts and Sciences I Collection that contains 119 titles in fifteen disciplines covering economics, history, political science, and sociology, as well as other key fields in the humanities and social sciences.
- Arts and Sciences II Collection includes 124 titles in several disciplines such as archaeology, classics, and African, Latin American, Middle Eastern, and Slavic studies.
- Arts and Sciences III Collection focuses on the arts and humanities with 150 titles in the areas of language and literature, music, film studies, folklore, performing arts, religion, and the history of art and architecture.
- Arts and Sciences IV Collection includes a minimum of 100 journals in the areas of business, education, healthy policy, law, psychology, and public policy and administration.
