Management Subject Guide

This subject guide covers management resources available at the Johnston Memorial Library, including full-text journals, magazine, and newspaper articles,  management websites, and printed materials in the Reference Collection. This is not a comprehensive subject guide, but rather a selective list of materials that are most useful for locating information in this field. Library location and call  number are provided for print publications.

  • ABI/INFORM Research 
    Gateway to collections of information, including summaries of articles from over 8,000 publications, with many in full-text, full-image format. 
     
  • Business and Company Resource Center
    Provides company profiles, brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies and periodicals. 
     
  • Factiva
    Provides financial, historical, and product information for publicly traded companies worldwide, full-text magazine and journal articles, and current and historical stock quotes.  
     
  • InfoTrac OneFile 
  • Indexes business magazines and journals covering the subjects of business and management, finance, trade, products, trends, companies and more. 
     
  • Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe
    Provides access to a wide range of domestic and international news, business, and legal information sources, including legislative, government, company, financial and demographic information, market research, and industry reports.

Journal Indexes and Abstracts
  • ABI/INFORM
    Covers nearly every aspect of business, including company histories and new product development. Includes abstracts and indexes of significant articles from nearly 1,000 current business and management periodicals. Provides access to selected full-text  articles. 
  • Materials Business File 
    Citations focusing on industry news, international trade data, government regulations, and  management issues related to the metals and materials industries.

  • Free Management Library(SM)
    According to its website this resource "provide[s] leaders and managers (especially those with very limited resources) basic and practical information about business, management and organizations." 
  • Management First
    Provides access to free and "for fee" management resources.
